On Saturday, September 25th, LCHS Key Club members worked with the Gold Museum employees and volunteers to beautify the exterior of the grounds in downtown Dahlonega. Key Club is a student led national organization who aims to make the community (state, country, world!) a better place through service. Students interested in joining Key Club may speak with Mrs. Ressel in room C-16; it's never too late to start serving the community.

Attention Junior Class Parents: The Junior Class Meeting will be September 28 at 6 PM in the Auditorium!

The Environmental Science classes partnered with the Environmental Awareness Club students to clean and create a garden space with newly planted fall crops.

Universal Technical Institute visited Riley Ray's Automotive classes yesterday to share information about careers in the Automotive Industry.

A major perk for LCHS students is the abundant access to outdoor activities. The Outdoor Education class enjoyed a fun-filled kayaking trip down the river. Great day to be a Lumpkin County Indian!

Unleash the Beast! Mr. Harwood's fourth block percussion class practices cadences, half time routine, and perfects their playing form. #IND1AN

Big shout out to Jill Trout with Lincoln Tech for sharing post-secondary educational opportunities in high demand careers with our CTAE students yesterday!

This year's Lumpkin Youth Leadership spent their day discovering their personal leadership style and how their style best serves their community.

Attention Underclassmen: Picture day is September 8.

Congratulations Mr. Alan Hogan for receiving the 2021 Yale Educator Award. This award recognizes educators from around the world who inspire and support their students to perform at high levels and to achieve excellence. Yale asked the 2025 student body to nominate an outstanding educator who deeply inspired their lives. Brianne Anderson nominated Mr. Alan Hogan for being her inspiration above anyone else. Many thanks to Mr. Hogan for playing a critical role in the success of LCHS students during and after high school.

Music in the making! Mr. Windham does a one on one session with a student in the music technology studio. Students can showcase their talents and record in the booth. #IND1AN
