
Congratulations to Will Wood, Running Back for LCHS, for having an OUTSTANDING game this past week including an 80 yard touchdown run! He is Lumpkin County's Farm Bureau Player of the Week!


Dr. Alldred and Ms. Westafer’s Environmental Awareness Club has been making a difference this month by recycling another 930 plastic bottles! They are at a grand total of 2,077 out of their goal of 6,000 bottles for this school year!




Mrs. Westafer's classes are enjoying their studies about Genetics. Last week they built candy models and then opened cells to extract real DNA.




Lumpkin County Band of Gold made GRAND CHAMPIONS at the Berkmar Marching Invitational this past Saturday placing first overall.

Today, Ms. Ressel's Teaching as a Profession classes volunteered their time at the LCES Old Fashioned Day. I think you can tell by these pictures that all stakeholders enjoyed this experience! Thank you to Ms Ressel and her sweet kids for making a difference today!

Yesterday, Riley Ray took his Automotive students to visit Lanier Tech. Students learned more about how to successfully pursue high-demand careers in the transportation industry. Students were able to ask questions and speak to former graduate, Coleman Sullens, about his success in the program.




Bryan Hartzog from North Georgia Technical College HVAC Program visited Mr Bearinger’s construction students yesterday regarding opportunities in the refrigeration industry. Bryan was accompanied by LCHS graduate David Dillon who is a student of Bryan’s program that demonstrated the refrigeration cycle using a cut away model.

This week's Farm Bureau Player of the Week is the entire Offensive Line! Congratulations to AJ Reeves, Tucker Bagley, Cameron Simpson, Andrew Adams, Taylor Beazley, Lane McColman, and Dakota Bennett. This group had a combined 296 yards for rushing and 18 pancake blocks! Well done boys! Congratulations, and GO INDIANS!


Yesterday, Lumpkin Youth Leadership enjoyed learning about the importance of tourism in Dahlonega and how to be better communicators. Many thanks to Robb Nichols and the Chamber for organizing this fantastic opportunity!
