Tenth-grade ELA students demonstrated their creativity today by presenting their "Butterfly Project" where they showcased their understanding of the classroom theme "Transformation through Struggle."

In a partnership with LCHS Healthcare classes, Teaching As A Profession Practicum students are on the road to becoming Adult, Child and Infant CPR certified. The Practicum class is the third class in the Teaching pathway. These students spend four days a week working with Lumpkin County students in a teaching intern capacity.


Lumpkin Youth Leadership would like to thank Lumpkin County Emergency Services and the Lumpkin County Government office for providing an incredible day of career exploration.

Congrats to our faculty for winning the Inaugural Student and Faculty Basketball game! All ticket sales from the game go to the 2023 Legacy Scholarship Fund, the first legacy scholarship since 1953. $715 was raised!

Amicalola EMC will be selecting three high school juniors to represent their service area on the 2023 Washington Youth Tour to be held June 15-22, 2023. The Washington Youth Tour is the oldest and largest youth leadership program in Georgia. Delegates from all over Georgia travel together on an all-expenses-paid trip to Washington, DC.
Applicant must be a high school junior between 16 and 18 years of age at the time of the tour. Applicant must reside in an Amicalola EMC household. If you have a question about the process, please contact staceyf@amicalolaemc.com.

Congratulations to Luke Schofield! He has been selected as one of two delegates to represent the state of Georgia at the United States Senate Youth Program, joining GA senators in Washington, D.C. for the 61st Annual USSYP Washington Week in March. Luke will also receive a $10,000 scholarship for undergraduate study. Way to go LUKE!
