Anatomy and Physiology students spent the day studying and comparing tissue types types in Dr. Alldred's class.

Students in Mrs. Holt's math class were doing human translations on the coordinate plane.

School Spirit was a priority in Spanish class on Friday! Students were creating posters in Spanish to support our boys for the game.

Lumpkin County High School announces the start date of Learning Lab as Monday, August 26. Learning Lab is an extended learning opportunity for students to work with certified educators on all academic subjects from 2:30- 4:00 pm daily. A computer lab is available for students to work on credit recovery or to complete class assignments. A snack is provided daily at 2:30. Students who need a ride home and are engaged in learning until 4:00, can take one of our two buses. No reservation or invitation is required, simply report to Computer Lab G 05 on the Modern Language hallway to sign in. The Learning Lab staff will direct you to the appropriate work space from there. We look forward to working with students again this year!

Building Community and School Culture by hosting our first ever Chili Cook Off! Hats off to Assistant Principal Amy Wade for coming in 1st place today with the MOST AMAZING chili.

We are so proud of our new College & Career Center at LCHS. We had our grand opening and ribbon cutting today and we are very much looking forward to putting this facility to use to support students in their post-secondary preparation!

The Preliminary SAT (PSAT) is a required test for all sophomores to help prepare them for the SAT exams for college. The results are also used for course planning for Junior and Senior years. 8th & 9th grade students can pay $15 to test early in order to see what areas they need to work on before taking the SAT. Juniors this year can also take the PSAT for $15 in order to qualify for the National Merit Scholarship. See your guidance counselor with questions.
