Dahlonega, GA – September 11, 2025 – Student officers from Lumpkin County High School’s Career and Technical Student Organizations (CTSOs) represented their school at the annual CTSO Leadership Summit held Wednesday, September 10, at the University of North Georgia.

Officers from DECA, FCCLA, FBLA, FFA, HOSA, and SkillsUSA joined fellow leaders from neighboring high schools to collaborate on strategies for recruitment, fundraising, and philanthropy. The summit provided opportunities for students to network, exchange ideas, and strengthen their leadership skills.

One of the ideas that emerged from the summit was a CTSO Ice Cream Social, brought back by Lumpkin County FBLA officer Emma Gilreath. This event will give all paid CTSO members the chance to enjoy free ice cream during their lunch track on Wednesday, September 24, across all four lunch periods.

“Events like this summit are a powerful reminder of how CTSOs connect students not only within our school, but across the region,” said FBLA Advisor Jansen Haight “Our officers returned with fresh ideas, renewed energy, and a strong commitment to service.”
