Congratulations to Army JROTC Cadet Eliza Phillips for her superior marksmanship! Eliza earned a spot to compete in the 2025 JROTC Service Championships; Regional Competition in Anniston, AL. Each year individuals and unit teams are ranked by their JROTC Service (Army, Navy, Air Force, and Marine Corps) with the top scoring teams and individuals qualifying for the JROTC should-to-shoulder Service Championship. Cadet Eliza Phillips shot 281 out of a possible 300 and secured 1 of only 5 Army precision (individual) rifle invitations to compete at the competition!
Eliza’s advancement to the Regional competition provides her with the opportunity to compete in a major shoulder-to-shoulder competition while representing Lumpkin County High School and the JROTC program. The JROTC Service Regional Championships is also the qualifying competition for the 2025 National Championships held at Camp Perry, Ohio in March, where all service branches will compete for the overall Championship! Way to go Eliza!
